Who Can Become a Host Family?

Our host families are diverse: couples, families with children, or individuals. What matters most is a welcoming home, a separate bed for the student, and the willingness to integrate them into daily life.

Students from France

Wanted: Host families from 23 Mar 2026 - 27 Mar 2026

In spring 2026, a group of French teenagers (aged 15–17) will be coming to Vienna with their school class for five days to put their German skills into practice and to get to know Austrian culture. During their stay, they don’t just want to visit famous sights—they’re also eager to experience everyday life in an Austrian family. We are therefore looking for warm and welcoming host families who would be willing to host 2 to 4 students.

AFS Exchange Students

Wanted: Host families for the school year 2025/2026

Starting in autumn 2025, the non-profit high-school student exchange organization AFS is looking for open-minded and committed host families across Austria who are interested in cultural exchange and willing to host an international student for 3, 5, or 10 months. Application Process

1. Online Form

An employee will visit you at home to get to know you and ensure that your home meets our requirements.

3. Student Placement

Once everything is in order, you can start as a host family! We will keep you updated about new students, and you can decide who you would like to host.
